BEEKMANTOWN, N.Y. — Mary W. Conroy, retired teacher and farmer who was perhaps best known as a champion of the horse, died at her home in Beekmantown last Thursday, Jan. 6. She was 99 years old and looking forward to Spring.

 

Susan Crosland, former Second Lady of Great Britain dies

Susan Crosland’s passing could change the dynamics in the British government.


The loss of Susan Crosland has also hit me, Susan Bainbridge, hard. Susan Crosland was more than a friend and colleague. She was also my aunt, for whom I am immensely proud!

With American flags flying at Half-Staff throughout the world to pay tribute to our last World War I Veteran, hundreds of people patiently filed passed the flag draped casket of World War I Veteran Army Corporal Frank Woodruff Buckles today. Among them were President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
